St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State University volleyball team took on #8 ranked Minnesota Duluth this evening in Halenbeck Hall. The Bulldogs swept the Huskies in three straight sets with scores of 25-15, 25-10, and 25-11.
St. Cloud State falls to 8-12 overall and 4-8 in the NSIC. Minnesota Duluth improves to 16-5 overall and 9-3 in the conference.
The Bulldogs recorded a .336 attack percentage against the Huskies.
Shannon Klink (Hartford, Wis.) and Kellan Flynn (Tomahawk, Wis.) each totaled six kills.
Allison Butler (Burnsville, Minn.) tallied 19 assists and three digs.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) finished with ten digs for St. Cloud State.
Mariah Scharf led all players with 13 kills for the Bulldogs. Scharf ranks second in the NSIC in kills.
The Huskies will return to action this weekend as they hit the road for St. Paul, Minn. and Mankato, Minn. to take on Concordia and Minnesota State.
