
SCSU Volleyball Falls in Five Sets to Upper Iowa

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State University volleyball team took on the Peacocks of Upper Iowa University this evening in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action. The Huskies battled back after a first and second set loss but ultimately fell to the Peacocks with set scores of 11-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-22, and 12-15.
St. Cloud State falls to 8-15 overall and 4-11 in the NSIC. Upper Iowa improves to 14-10 overall and 8-7 in the conference.
Sophie Jaskulske (Maplewood, Minn.) led the Huskies with 11 kills.
Shannon Klink (Hartford, Wis.) and Macy Weller (Sauk Centre) each finished with 10 kills. Klink collected a season-high 31 digs. Weller finished with seven blocks on the evening.
Allison Butler (Burnsville, Minn.) tallied 28 assists, three kills, and six blocks.
Marissa Kline (Luxemburg, Wis.) recorded 17 assists and 10 digs for St. Cloud State.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) led the Huskies defensively with 33 digs.
Jennifer Mundt led all players with 27 kills for the Peacocks.
St. Cloud State will return to action tomorrow afternoon as they take on Winona State University at 4 p.m. The Warriors are currently 14-8 overall and 8-7 in the NSIC. Winona State fell to Minnesota Duluth this evening in three straight sets.
