The #7 St. Cloud State University men's hockey team (9-3-0, 5-1-0 NCHC) will play a weekend series at the University of Minnesota (4-5-0, 0-0-0 B10). On Nov. 27, the Huskies will play a 6 p.m. game at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis and then complete the weekend with a 6 p.m. game at Mariucci on Nov. 29.

ANNUAL TEDDY BEAR TOSS: St. Cloud State's annual Teddy Bear Toss will take place during intermission at the SCSU-Omaha men's hockey game on Dec. 5. Fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear or stuffed animal to the game to throw on the ice during the intermission. All items collected will then be donated to the Toys for Tots program in the St. Cloud area

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: A native of Grand Forks, N.D., rookie blueliner Jon Lizotte enjoyed a strong showing against his hometown Fighting Hawks with three assists, five blocks and a +5 rating on the plus/minus. For his efforts, Lizotte was named the NCHC Rookie of the Week.
BLUELINER OF THE WEEK: Junior Niklas Nevalainen scored his first goal of the season on Nov. 21 with power play effort against UND. This was his third career goal at SCSU and his first goal since Nov. 22, 2013 against Colorado College. Nevalainen also had two assists in the games against UND and was +5 on the plus/minus. He was named the NCHC Defenseman of the Week on Nov. 23.
LEADING THE WAY: Senior Kalle Kossila leads the team with 11 assists and 13 points this season. He ranks 19th in the team records now with 112 career points, which includes 76 assists (12th in the team records). Kossila ranks 10th in the nation this season for most assists.
NEEDS SEVEN POINTS: Senior David Morley inched closer to membership in the Huskies' 100-point club with his two goals and one assist against UND on Nov. 20-21. Morley now has 42 goals, 51 assists and 93 points during his time at SCSU.
FIRST GOALS: Junior forward Daniel Tedesco added his first goal of the season in the win vs. UND on Nov. 21...Rookie Jacob Benson, a native of Grand Forks, N.D., posted his first career goal at SCSU with a marker against his hometown Fighting Hawks on Nov. 21 at the HBNHC.
NCAA NOTEWORTHY: SCSU ranks third in the nation with a scoring average of 4.17 goals per game this season...On defense, SCSU ranks sixth in the nation with an average of 1.67 goals allowed per game this season...SCSU's scoring margin of 2.50 goals per game ranks second in the nation this season...SCSU's added three power play goals this weekend vs. UND and it now ranks 11th in the nation at 23.4% (11/47).
WEEKEND SPLIT: St. Cloud State University moved up to number two in the pairwise rankings after a weekend split against North Dakota on Nov. 20-21 in St. Cloud, Minn...SCSU lost a close 4-3 decision against the Fighting Hawks on Nov. 20 and then rallied to gain a big 6-1 victory over Nov. 21 at the HBNHC.
