The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) has launched an updated version of www.NorthernSun.org. The redesign was a partnership between the conference office and SIDEARM Sports, which provides athletic websites for the league and 14 member institutions.Â
The main objective of the redesign was to incorporate elements of the website, giving visitors faster access to league standings, stats and schedules while enhancing the brand of the league. The site will also be a platform to highlight the student-athletes of the NSIC for all their accomplishments in the classroom, in the community and on the playing field.Â
The NSIC scoreboard gives fans a one stop shop for all their pregame and post game needs, while the addition of new ad spots will keep fans up-to-date on special events and championships happening around the league. Videos from the league are a click away, along with podcasts and all of the league's social media outlets. Other new features include a static header, allowing quick access to member websites, and new dropdown menus that give you instant access to information on your favorite NSIC sports. Additionally, a search bar has been added for easier access to archived information.Â
The redesign comes just in time for the start of the 2015-16 academic year as competition begins on Thursday, Sept. 3.Â
The NSIC is a 16-team, 17-sport, NCAA Division II Conference with teams located in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.Â
Sidearm Sports, based out of Syracuse, New York, is the No.1 athletic website provider, servicing over 800 clients nationwide.
