SCSU Volleyball Travels to MSU Moorhead and Northern State

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State University volleyball team will hit the road to MSU Moorhead and Northern State this weekend. The Huskies will take on the Dragons of Moorhead on Friday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. The SCSU match-up vs. #19 Northern State is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.

St. Cloud State

The Huskies hold a 5-6 overall record and are 1-2 in the conference.
St. Cloud State sits 13^th in the NSIC standings.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) is number two on the NSIC digs/set. Stamer has totaled 238 on the season, averaging 5.8/set.
Rachel Burke (Madison, Wis.) leads the Huskies in kills with 103 on the season, averaging 2.58 kills per set.
The Huskies rank fifth in the NSIC in digs. SCSU has totaled 663 digs this season, averaging 16.17 digs per game.
Head coach Chad Braegelmann is in his first season with St. Cloud State.

MSU Moorhead

The Dragons are coming of a loss against Northern State (2-3).
They hold a 9-2 overall mark, 2-1 in the NSIC.
Kaitlin VanWinkle leads MSUM in kills with 158, averaging 3.76 kills per set.
Tammy Blake is in her 21^st season as the Dragons head coach.

Northern State

Northern State ranks 19 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 poll.
The Wolves are currently 11-0 overall and 3-0 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
Kellie Schmitt ranks #1 in NSIC standing in hitting percentage, averaging .605.
Drew Smith is number one in the NSIC in assists with 458 on the season, averaging 13.09 assists per game.
Head coach Brent Aldridge is in his fifth season with the Wolves.
