SCSU volleyball returns to campus for practice on Aug. 14

St. Cloud State University volleyball coach Chad Braegelmann welcomed back the Huskies for the first day of practice for the upcoming 2017 season on Monday, Aug. 14. The Huskies are preparing for the their new year, which will get underway on Aug. 31 with a road match at Saint Katherine College in San Marcos, Calif.
SCSU will stay in San Marcos on Sept. 1-2 for games in the CSU-San Marcos Tournament. Â The Huskies will face Saint Martin's, Cal State San Marcos, Adelphi University and Fresno Pacific at the tournament. Â SCSUÂ will follow those matches with a trip to Houghton, Mich. for the Michigane Tech Keweenaw Classic on Sept. 8-9. Â SCSUÂ fans will finally get a chance to watch the Huskies at home with a match against Bemidji State in Halenbeck on Sept. 14 at 6 p.m.
Tickets for all home matches are available at the gate on match day and all SCSUÂ students with a valid ID card are admitted free to all regular season home matches in 2017.
The Huskies opened their first day of practice with 18 players in camp under the watchful eye of Coach Bragelmann.  The SCSU Athletics Strategic Communications video crew was able to catch up with senior Becca Gruber (Belgrade/BBE H.S.), sophomore Clara Krenz (St. Paul/North St. Paul H.S.) and senior Nicole Miller (Chaska/Central H.S.) today after the morning practice session for a few comments about the start of 2017.  Watch the video below.
