Thomsen, Doherty and Stone qualify for nationals in diving.
The St. Cloud State University men's and women's swimming and diving teams combined for a total of 25 first place finishes at the 2018 Cows, Colleges and Contentment Classic, which was hosted by Carleton College in Northfield, Minn on Saturday, Oct. 27.
Thompson lead the field in the 200 women's freestyle with a first place time of 2:01.64, while SCSU's Bobby Poynter won the men's 200 freestyle with a time of 1:50.10.
Marena Kouba posted a first place time of 1:00.90 in the women's 100 backstroke, while Schwartz turned in a first place time of 52.00 in the men's 100 backstroke. Burroughs added was first for SCSU in the women's 100 breaststroke at 1:08.80 and Deitrich was first in the men's 100 breaststroke at 1:00.43.
SCSU's domination continued in the women's 200 butterfly with a first place finish by Fuse with a time of 2:21.75. Jose Alamo won the men's 200 butterfly with a time of 1:58.89.

Thompson return to the top spot in the women's 100 freestyle with a time of 53.82, while Joel Huth place first in the men's 100 freestyle at 47.99.
In the women's 200 backstroke, Hart won the event with a time of 2:07.19 and Schwartz continue his winning ways with a first place finish in the men's 200 backstroke at 1:55.30.
Brooke Calvin won the women's 200 breaststroke at 2:28.58 and William Nguyen won the men's 200 breaststroke at 2:14.58. In event 19 of the Classic, Kathryn Stupar led the way with a first place finish in the women's 500 free with a time of 5:29.77.
Fuse earned another first place finish in the women's 100 fly with a time of 1:00.20 and teammate Ashley Wilson won the women's 400 IM with a time of 4:46.54. Alamo scored another win in the men's 400 IM with a time of 4:18.91. In the final swimming event of the day, SCSU's foursome of Burroughs, Hart, Christina Ware and Thompson won the women's 200 free relay at 1:39.24.

In the diving events, the Huskies dominated across the board. Britin Thomsen set a new pool record in Northfield with her first place finish in the 1M diving event at 422.05. The Huskies' Rebekah Stone (2nd), Alyssa Doherty (3rd), Annaliesa Anderson (4th) and Mady Brinkman (5th) completed the top five spots in the 1M event for SCSU.
In the men's 1M diving event, SCSU's Scott Stellick won the top spot with a score of 417.90. Teammates Hanos Mahari (3rd) and Evan Infante (4th) completed the field.
In the women's 3M event, Doherty won first place with a score of 455.05. Stone (2nd), Thomsen (3rd) and Brinkman (4th) finished out the top four spots for the Huskies. In the men's 3M event, Stellick was in first place with a score of 458.95, while Mahari was in second place at 454.9 and Infante was fourth at 294.3.
Thomsen, Stone and Doherty all qualified for the NCAA DII championships with their scores at Carleton.
