Huskies’ Winning Streak Snapped by Golden Bears

ST. PAUL, Minn. - A four-game winning streak that included three victories by margins of 10 or more points came to an end on Friday, January 18 when the St. Cloud State women's basketball team (10-5, 7-4 NSIC) fell 50-63 to the Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears.
Tori Wortz and Katrina Theis each finished with 11 points while Theis was one rebound shy of her second double-double of the season. Mallie Doucette led the Huskies' scoring efforts with a 13 point performance off of the bench. Doucette shot 37.5 percent (3-8) from three-point land and 35 percent (5-14) from the field.
Nikki Kilboten posted ten points and seven rebounds while also charting a game-high of three blocks.
As a team, St. Cloud State shot 29.2 percent (19-65) from the field, 30 percent (6-20) from beyond the arc and 60 percent (6-10) from the charity strike.
Concordia-St. Paul was carried by Lindsay Dorr and Kyrah Fredenburg's double-double efforts. Dorr and Fredenburg combined for 29 points and 28 rebounds on Friday night in St. Paul.
SCSU carried a 32-30 lead into the half after a 23 point surge in the second quarter and a half court buzzer beater from Mackenzie Uter to take the lead. CSP responded by out-scoring the Huskies 33-18 in the second half.
