SCSU women's golf ranks third at Bearcat Invite after first round

The St. Cloud State University women's golf team ranked third on the leaderboard after the first day of play at the 2019 Bearcat Golf Invite, which is being hosted by Northwest Missouri University at the Mozingo Lake Golf Course in Maryville, Mo. on Monday, Oct. 14.
The Huskies posted a first round score of 351, while Northwest MIssouri led the field with a score of 323 and Iowa Western C.C. was second with a score of 328. Minnesota State Moorhead was in fourth place at 361 and Southwest Baptist was in fifth place at 377.
Individually, SCSU's Morgan Hetletved was tied for fourth in the standings with a first round tally of 82. Teammate Kailey Godfrey ranked 13th with a score of 86 and Olivia Peterson was in 15th place at 89. Madi Eurich was in 20th place at 94 and Alexa Owen completed her first day with a 24th place score of 96. Other individuals from SCSU playing in the tournament included Shealyn McCoy (20th place/94), Carissa Kunst (23rd place/95) and Gretchen Greeder (27th place/100).
The Huskies will finish the second day of play at the 2019 Bearcat Invite on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
