Huskies bring home fourth place finish from Mustang Invite

The St. Cloud State University women's golf team claimed a fourth place finish at the 2019 Mustang Invitational, which was held at the Marshall G.C. in Marshall, Minn. on Sept. 21-22.

The Huskies posted a final team score of 646 (329-317) in the two-day event, which was won by Augustana with a score of 608, followed by Minnesota State at 627 and Minot State at 633.

Morgan Hetletved and Olivia Peterson led SCSU at the meet with indentical 13th place scores of 157 (79-78) on the par 72, 5969 yard layout at the Marshall G.C. Of note, a total of 85 golfers participated in this meet that featured 13 teams.

SCSU's Madi Eurich placed 37th at 166 (85-81) and Alexa Owen was 40th at 167 (86-81). Carissa Kunst placed 44th for the Huskies with a 169 (86-83) and Kailey Godfrey placed 53rd with a score of 172 (92-80). Shealyn McCoy placed 64th (179=87-92) and Gretchen Greeder placed 77th (195=90-105).

SCSU will continue its 2019-20 season on Oct. 14-15 with a trip to the Bearcat Golf Invitational in Maryville, Mo.
