The St. Cloud State men's and women's swimming and diving teams turned in dominant performances at the Cows, Colleges and Contentment Classic on Saturday, Oct. 26 in Northfield, Minn. The event saw all four SCSU women divers qualify for the 2020 NCAA Division II nationals.
The swimming events were held at the Northfield Middle School Aquatic Center and the diving events were held at the Carleton College pool. Mady Brinkman
In the women's diving events, Madison Brinkman won both the 1M and 3M events with respective pool record scores of 448.95 and 477.95. Teammate Rebekah Stone placed second in the 1M (441.15) and third in the 3M event (416.60, while Alyssa Doherty placed third in the 1M (427.05) and second in the 3M event (446.60). Meredith Matchinsky placed fourth for SCSU in the 1M event (392.70).
Of note, the top three SCSU women in the 1M event broke the old pool record in Northfield, which was originally set by former SCSU All-American Britin Thomsen.
SCSU's Evan Infante won both the men's 1M and 3M events with scores of 392.8 and 407.05 respectively.
SCSU's also led the swimming events with several first place finishes. The following is a list of first place endings for the Huskies at the meet in Northfield, Minn.
