St. Cloud State swim and dive brings home win from UWEC

The St. Cloud State University men's and women's swim an dive teams scored a 384-214 win at UW-Eau Claire on Nov. 8-9 in Eau Claire, Wisc. The weekend opened with the diving competition on Nov. 8 and finished with the swimming events on Nov. 9.
The Huskies dominated the meet with first place finishes in numerous events over the weekend.
In the women's 200 medley relay, SCSU claimed first place with a time of 1:50.49 and also added a second place finish of 1:54.00. The men's 200 medley relay team placed second with a time of 1:38.81.
In the women's 1000 free, Rosalind Pang placed first with a time of 11:06.98 and David Clossey won the men's 1000 free at 10:04.81.
Whitney Hanson won the women's 200 free at 2:00.46. Of note, SCSU won the top five places in the women's 200 free. Joel Huth added a first place finish in the men's 200 free at 1:44.56.
In the women's 50 back, Marena Kouba placed second at 29.84 and Kevin Guenter placed second in the 50 back at 26.10.
In the 50 breaststroke, Alexis Burroughs placed first at 31.52 and Elena Page placed second at 32.47. In the men's 50 breaststroke, Jayden Porter placed second at 27.86.
In the women's 100 fly, Kasey Milstroh was first with a time of 58.99 and Sam Artz won the men's 100 fly at 53.12.
Chelsea Gehrke placed first in the women's 50 free at 24.90 and Abe Townley won the men's 50 free at 21.73. Gehrke also won the top spot in the women's 100 free at 54.86 and Huth won the men's 100 free at 47.81.
The wins continued for SCSU with a first place finish in the women's 100 backstroke by Marena Kouba at 1:01.15, and a first place finish by Burroughs in the women's 100 breaststroke at 1:09.62.
In the women's 500 free, Milstroh placed first with first with a time of 5:22.07 and Matheus Laperriere placed first in the men's 500 free at 4:57.17. In the women's 50 fly, Olivia Travis placed first at 27.90 and Townley won the men's 50 fly at 22.79.
Whitney Hanson added a first placed finish in the 200 IM at 2:16.73 and Laperriere won the men's 200 IM at 1:58.62. To finish the day, SCSU won the women's 200 free relay and the men's 200 relay placed second.
