Huskies Trek to Duluth for Road Tilt With The Bulldogs
11/27/2019 11:36:00 AM | Women's Basketball
DULUTH, MINN. - St. Cloud State University women's basketball will be facing off against the University of Duluth for their first conference battle with an NSIC opponent. The Huskies are off to a 3-1 start after facing a challenging non-conference schedule. UMD comes in with a 3-3 (0-0 NSIC) record after facing a challenging schedule as well. The Huskies and the Bulldogs will face off in Romano gymnasium Sat., November 30, at 2:00 p.m.
Â
Saturday's game will be a big test for SCSU due to the Huskies dropping three close games to Minnesota-Duluth last season. The last loss to UMD came in semi-finals of the NSIC tournament, St. Cloud State will be looking to avenge that loss and prove they can be a top team in the NSIC once again. Madelin Dammann leads the team averaging 13.5 points per game, Tori Wortz is averaging 11.8, and Nikki Kilboten is right behind them with 11.5 points per game. The Huskies will need their top three scorers to score early and often to steal a game on the road against a top NSIC team.
Â
Live stats and video will be available during the game, and fans can also listen to play-by-play on Granite City Sports. Be sure to follow the team's official Twitter page (@SCSUHUSKIES_WBB) for up to date highlights and score alerts.
