
Women's Hockey heads to Bemidji for WCHA action Dec. 6-7

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - St. Cloud State Women's Hockey will travel to Bemidji State this weekend for WCHA action. The SCSU Huskies (4-10-1, 0-10-0 WCHA) will face off against the Beavers (7-8-1, 4-6-0 WCHA) at the Sanford Center on December 6th and 7th. Puck drop for game one is scheduled for 3:07pm on Friday, and game two is set for 2:07pm on Saturday.Â
St. Cloud State's all-time record against the Beavers is 38-43-9. Last season, the Huskies played the Beavers five times, one of which was a non-conference game in Brainerd, Minnesota at the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum. The non-conference contest was the one game the Huskies beat the Beavers out of the five times they matched up in 2018-19.Â

The Beavers are on a four game win-streak, as they swept RPI on the road last weekend in the non-conference series. They defeated RPI 5-1 and 2-0. The previous weekend the Beavers swept Minnesota State-Mankato on the road 5-2 and 1-0. Seniors Haley Mack and Kiki Radke lead the Beavers in points this season with 11 apiece. Mack is the leading goal-scorer with 8 goals. Junior goaltender Lauren Bench has played in 11 games this season holding a .906 save % and 2.55 GAA. Bench's record so far is 5-6-1.Â
Huskies Weekend Recap
The St. Cloud State Huskies come off the weekend with a win over Lindenwood University after Friday's 6-0 victory. Saturday's game was cancelled due to forfeit. Ten different Huskies tallied at least one point in Emma Polusny's shutout victory. Polusny's shutout was the fifth one of her career as she made 27 saves. The Huskies put 33 SOG during the contest. Junior forward Laura Kluge scored her first goal of the season for the game-winning-goal. Kluge also tallied an assist in the game as she went +2 on the weekend. Brooke Kudirka scored her first career hat trick against the Lions, scoring all three goals in the third period. Freshman Claire Hickey scored her first collegiate goal as a Husky and also posted an assist. Junior defenseman Kenzie Wylie also tallied her first collegiate goal against Lindenwood. Others assists came from Hallie Theodosopoulos, Jennina Nylund, Olivia Cvar, Janna Haeg (2), Taytum Geier (2) and Annika Fazokas (2).
