Weather report forces change in NSIC Golf championship schedule

The 2018-19 NSIC Women's Golf Championship as altered its schedule due to forecasted rain on Saturday at Dacotah Ridge Golf Course in Morton, Minnesota. Originally scheduled to have 18 holes played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (April 26-28), the 54-hole championship will now have 36 holes played on Friday and the final 18 holes on Sunday. Both Friday and Sunday will begin with 9 a.m. shot gun starts.

NSIC Women's Golf has 12 teams comprised of Augustana, Bemidji State, Concordia-St. Paul, Minnesota Crookston, Minnesota State, MSU Moorhead, Minot State, Sioux Falls, SMSU, St. Cloud State, Upper Iowa and Winona State.

The winner of the NSIC Women's Golf Championship will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Central Super Regional will be played at Muskogee Country Club in Muskogee, Oklahoma, hosted by Northeastern State University on May 6-8. The NCAA Championships will be held May 13-18 at PGA National Resort Champions Course, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.Â
