St. Cloud State University Baseball ranked among top 20 DII teams in final polls

The St. Cloud State University baseball team capped its 2019 season by receiving a pair of top 20 rankings in the final NCAA Division II national polls.
The Huskies (41-14, 26-8 NSIC) were ranked #16 in the final Division II national poll released by Collegiate Baseball in 2019 and SCSU earned a #18 ranking in the highly respected National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II national poll. SCSU placed third in the always rugged NSIC regular season standings and received an NCAA Division II tournament bid. At the NCAA DII Central Region tournament in Warrensburg, Mo., the Huskies were 1-2.
This marked the fifth consecutive season that SCSU has gained an NCAA tournament bid and the team's ninth NCAA bid since 2010.  This also marked the seventh time in team history (and the seventh time since 2010) that the Huskies have won 40-plus games in a season - all under the direction of head coach Pat Dolan.
"To receive these types of rankings in the NCAA national polls is a tribute to the quality of players who make up our roster," SCSU coach Pat Dolan said. "Our student-athletes have helped carry on the tradition of excellence that has been a trademark of this program over the years and this year's team was no exception."
