Last Time Out
Then-No. 7 St. Cloud State Volleyball leaned on stellar middle play to take down Northern State in four sets on Saturday evening at Wachs Arena. Phebie Rossi hit .484 with 16 kills and six blocks while Sam Zimmerman added nine kills and four blocks on .375 hitting as Emma Berran picked her spots well, recording a 50-assist night. Kenzie Foley added an 18-kill, 16-dig double-double from the pin alongside 13 and 11 from Linsey Rachel. Keely Kurschner had another strong evening with 21 digs, anchoring a defense that forced Northern into 21 attacking errors.
Huskies Primer
SCSU slid back one spot to No. 8 in this week's AVCA Top-25 poll – remaining in the top-10 for the 11th straight week this season and 13th consecutive week dating back to 2021. The Huskies have won five of their last six matches, leaning on a terminal offense that ranks 11th in hitting percentage and 15th in kills/set across the NCAA. Every match down the stretch continues to be critical for SCSU as they fight for a Regional berth, recently ranked among the top-10 teams in the Central.
Linsey's Legacy
Grad student outside hitter Linsey Rachel enters the weekend 22 kills away from breaking the program's all-time career record held by Cami Selbitschka (96'), which has stood for 26 years at 1567. Rachel ranks fourth all-time in digs with 1456, just 44 digs away from becoming the program's first-ever 1500x1500 club member. She has etched her name all over the program's record book – ranking second in attacks, third in points and sixth in sets played.
Rossi Rules
Senior middle blocker Phebie Rossi will conclude her career as one of the program's best blockers of all time, ranking fourth in both total blocks and block assists while landing eighth in solo blocks. Rossi is 13 blocks away from becoming the fourth Husky to reach 400 in her career and is tied for third all-time in hitting percentage.
Historic Houle
Grad student right side Rachel Houle has been a staple of Huskies Volleyball throughout her five-year career, appearing in 113 matches and scoring 114 aces with a pair of 30-ace seasons. Houle posted 1.95 career digs/set over her career as she transitioned into a serving/defensive specialist role, playing the back three rotations for the Huskies' opposites.
How About Hollman
Graduating senior Makena Hollman has stepped into a key role as the St. Cloud State opposite hitter, becoming a reliable threat with 1.32 kills/set on .252 hitting. Hollman adds 0.58 blocks/set as one of the team's top blockers on the right pin.
Scouting Minot State
The Beavers earned their first win of the season last Saturday with a four-set victory over Minnesota Crookston, entering the weekend 1-24 with a 1-17 mark in conference play. Minot State has hit better than .186 just twice this season, hitting .237 and .230 in their two matches against UMC. Alexandra Koontz (2.10 K/S, .067) and Taylor Wyatt (1.61 K/S, .221) are the primary threats on the offensive end. Serve receive has been an area of concern this season as the Beavers surrender 2.33 aces/set with a .886 receive.

The Marauders are 6-20 entering the final week of the regular season, 5-13 in NSIC action. Kaia Sueker (4.81 D/S) and Nehkyah Ellis (2.60 K/S, .126, 3.07 D/S) anchor a scrappy defense that has averaged 16.20 digs/set, holding their opponents to hit under .180 in each of their last four matches.
