QUOTABLES
St. Cloud State Women's Hockey Head Coach Steve Macdonald
"I don't think we played a very good game at all. They were the better team tonight, and they deserved to win. We had moments, very few moments where we showed that we can compete at doing the things we do well. It was just not enough this afternoon. We need to be better tomorrow."
On the strong PK…"There's players in there that have gotten really good and very efficient at what they can do on the ice there for the PK. Coach Molly has done a very good job working with the PK, it's in a good spot now. You need that this time of year. It got us through some significant time there, but we need to be better 5-on-5."
On the Huskies' response in the second period… "She just does what she usually does. She makes the difficult saves look easy and the easy saves look easy. She's just so calm in the net, I thought she controlled her crease very well. That first one she felt she could have had – that's the competitor she is, she's always looking at how she can be better. She gave us a chance to win tonight. She was on, and we need to be better in front of our goaltender tomorrow."
