QUOTABLES
St. Cloud State Women's Hockey Head Coach Steve Macdonald
"We thought we played a much better game than yesterday. Our effort was better, our puck management was better, we put ourselves in good spots, but we just weren't able to manage that last minute when they pulled the goalie. Often games come down to those moments, and just weren't able to get through them."
On the Huskies' offensive structure…"We had better puck pressure on the forecheck. We created a lot of chances off of that. Our go-ahead goal was a good entry, far-pad shot. Chobak was giving up rebounds tonight and we were able to capitalize on them the one time. When we get a good forecheck going, when we're smart on entries, we're a team that really thrives on that. We did that well tonight."
On looking ahead to the postseason… "We feel really good about how we responded well today after not a good showing yesterday. It bodes well for us going into a very tough Ohio State team, and we look forward to that challenge."
