ST. CLOUD, Minn. – As October creeps closers, St. Cloud State Hockey is right around the corner. With opening weekend puck drop less than three weeks away, St. Cloud State Athletics announced their promotional schedules for the upcoming 2022-23 seasons.
Both the men's and women's hockey season features an array of promotions throughout the 2022-23 season, including several giveaways and theme nights throughout the year. The promotional schedule kicks off this weekend when St. Cloud State hosts its annual Puck Drop Breakfast on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 9:00 a.m. CT at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. This event is exclusive for season ticket holders, and fans can still buy season tickets for the 2022-23 season at scsutickets.com or by calling 1-877-SCSUTIX / 320-308-2137.
The Huskies' men's team is coming off their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last five seasons and 16th overall in 2021-22. St. Cloud earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Midwest Regional in Allentown and ended the season with a 18-15-4 record overall. The Huskies return a talented corps that is headlined by third-year captain Spencer Meier and two of last season's top-four point scorers as Jami Krannila (15-15-30) and Zach Okabe (11-17-28) take the ice for their senior seasons.
SCSU Women's Hockey will skate under the direction of first-year head coach Brian Idalski in 2022-23. The Huskies return 93% of their points from last season with the talented top line of Taylor Lind, Jenniina Nylund and Emma Gentry leading the pack.
Season and single game tickets for the 2022-23 season are available at www.scsutickets.com, downloading the St. Cloud State Huskies app or by calling 1-877-SCSUTIX / 320-308-2137.
