St. Cloud State Baseball Announces 2024 Early Signing Class

Eight signees will join the Huskies in the fall
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State head coach Pat Dolan has announced the addition of eight recruits to the Huskies 2024 signing class. Austin Baumhover, Jack Clark, Jerome (Trey) Emmerich, Austin Koep, Drayton Lou, AJ Price, and Max Robinson, Shawn Michael Robinson all intend to join St. Cloud State next fall.
Three of the Huskies signings are Minnesota native, two from Iowa, two from Wisconsin, and one from Nebraska.
Austin Baumhover
Austin Baumhover joins the Huskies by way of Van Meter, Iowa where he was coached by his father, Eben Baumhover. During his time at Van Meter High School, Baumhover has produced a .305 batting average for the Bulldogs along with a .920 OPS. Baumhover hit 15 doubles, nine triples, and four home runs to go along with 71 RBI. Van Meter won back-to-back state championships during Baumhover's tenure with the Bulldogs, and he is a two-time recipient of Second Team All-District and Second Team All-Conference.
Baumhover is the son of Eben and Kelley Baumhover.

Jack Clark
Jack Clark attends Iowa City Regina High School in Solon, Iowa, where he is coached by Steve Pacha. Clark also played travel ball for the Iowa Sticks where he was coached by Tim Schultz. Clark has a .312 batting average in his career which includes 13 doubles, four triples, and 43 RBI. Clark was awarded All-Conference his sophomore and junior season with the Regals.
Clark is the son of Michael and Melinda Clark

Jerome "Trey" Emmerich
Coming from Foley High School, Jerome Emmerich was coached by Mike Beier. In his career at Foley, Emmerich posted a .357 batting average with 27 hits and 10 doubles. Emmerich also recorded a 3.67 ERA and 49 strikeouts for the Falcons. Emmerich was also awarded All-Conference for Foley. Emmerich also played for the Mash Baseball club team where he was coached by Charles Bolden and also played for the Foley Legion team where he was coached by Jim Vonwald.
"I chose SCSU because it has a great combination of a successful baseball program and the academic studies I was looking for. The coaching staff is very knowledgeable and dedicated to the success of their players. The facilities and field are some of the best in the area. I also like the fact that it is close to home, and my family and friends will be able to follow my college baseball career."
Austin Koep
Koep plays baseball at Northfield High School, where he is coached by Josh Spitzack. In his junior year with the Raiders, Koep posted a .438 batting average along with 14 extra base hits and drove in 38 RBI. Kope also played for the HTP National Team where he was coached by Chase Hentges and the Northfield River Rats Legion team where he was coached by Robert Garcia

Drayton Lou
Drayton Lou joins St. Cloud State as an attendee from Janesville Craig High School in Wisconsin where he was coached by Josh Shere. Lou posted a .98 ERA with the Cougars and was awarded All-Conference.
Lou is the son of Jason and Courtney Lou.

AJ Price
Price attends Neenah High School in Wisconsin where he is coached by Aaron Nelson. Price was all an All-Conference honorable mention this past season with the Rockets.
AJ is the son of Tim and Marti Price.
"I chose to become a Husky because of the schooling I will receive and the success of the baseball program the last few years."
Max Robinson
Coming from St. Michael, Minnesota, Max Robinson was an attendee of Rogers High School. Robinson was coached by Brian Harapat during his tenure with the royals. In his career at Rogers, Robinson hit .330, was a team captain for the royals, and was a two-time All-Conference honoree.
Shawn Michael Robinson
Coming from Omaha, Nebraska, Shawn Michael Robinson attended Skutt Catholic High School. Robinson hit .346 for the Skyhawks, posted 30 stolen bases and 38 RBI. Robinson is also a two-time Perfect Game Preseason All-American and a four-time Perfect Game All-Tournament Team honoree.
