Gentry, Peterson Score in Game Two, Chobak records 16 saves
ST. CLOUD, MINN. – No. 10 St. Cloud State (11-4-0, 6-3-0 WCHA) shut out (RV) St. Thomas (5-10-0, 0-10-0 WCHA) in game two of the home-and-home series. The Huskies were able to net one goal on Friday and two goals on Saturday while holding the Tommies scoreless across 120 minutes.
TENDING TANDEM
Sanni Ahola made 12 saves in game one, picking up her fifth shutout of the season. Ahola has only allowed 5 goals across 7 games played for a .72 goals-against against average and a .963 save percentage. Jojo Chobak would get the nod in net on Saturday, stopping all 16 shots faced for her third shutout of the season. Chobak improves to a .949 save percentage and a 1.14 goals-against average.
HEATING UP
Avery Myers and Maddy Peterson entered the series against St. Thomas with one point each. Myers put herself on the score sheet for the first time this season with the assist going to Maddy Peterson. On Saturday, roles were reversed as Peterson scored her first of the season and first as a Husky with Myers picking up the assist.
