
Huskies Upend Dragons, Record Best Start since 2013

SCSU beats MSUM 2-1 to improve to 3-1-0 on the season
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (3-1-0, 0-0-0 NSIC) earned a 2-1 win over Minnesota State Moorhead (1-3-0, 0-0-0 NSIC) following a goal in the 78th minute on Sunday afternoon at Husky Stadium. After the Dragons' scored an equalizer in the 58th minute, fifth-year forward Jenna Dominguez (Geneva, Ill.) scored her second goal in as many game to put the Huskies up for good.
With the win, SCSU improved to 3-1-0 on the season, marking its best four-game start to a season since 2013 when it reached the same mark.
TURNING POINT
Following MSUM's score to tie the game in the second half, the Huskies did not let the goal affect their play on the field. SCSU kept pushing and looking to regain the lead, which happened 20 minutes later when Dominguez was able to bury a score off a rebound on a corner kick. The score came in the 78th minute with an assist credited to junior forward Ariel Hawkey (Graham, Wash.).

- Dominguez's goal was the 17th of her career, moving her past Hannah Marion (16 goals, 2016-19) for ninth all-time in program history.
- Dominguez also moved to eighth all-time on the career scoring list with 44 points (17 goals, 10 assists), surpassing Claire Shea (43 points, 2018-21), and second all-time in game-winning goals with 10.
- Hawkey's assist gives her the team-lead in points on the season with five (two goals, one assist).
- Trapino's goal was the first collegiate goal of her career.
