St. Cloud State Women’s Soccer Announces 2026 Recruiting Class

Huskies adds seven newcomers from three states within the region
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The St. Cloud State Women's Soccer program has announced its incoming recruiting class for the 2026 campaign.
Head coach Maggie Sherman and assistant coach Sean Steele welcome four freshmen and three transfers, with four hailing from Minnesota, two from Wisconsin and one from Colorado. The Huskies are coming off its third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and an NSIC championship game appearance last season as Sherman begins her first season as head coach of the program.
"We are excited to welcome this class of seven student-athletes to our program," said Sherman. "With four freshmen and three transfers, this group brings a great balance of youth, experience, and different perspectives. Each player brings qualities that will make us better both on and off the field, and we are excited to see how they grow within our program and contribute to the culture we are building."
Abby Artlip – Midfielder – Muskego, Wis. – Muskego High School – SC Wave Girls Academy
A four-year varsity contributor and senior captain for Muskego High School in Muskego, Wis., Abby Artlip comes to St. Cloud after a highly successful prep career. Artlip earned two all-conference selections, led her team in assists in her junior and senior campaigns, and helped lead Muskego to four Division 1 State championship appearances and three state titles. At the club level, Artlip played for SC Wave Girls Academy. Outside of soccer, she was involved in the National History Club and National Business Club.
Arianna Harrison – Forward – Bennett, Colo. – Bennett High School – Iowa Western Community College
Arianna Harrsion joins the Huskies after two seasons at Iowa Western Community College. An attacking forward, Harrsion scored 14 goals and eight assists for 36 points in 43 games over two seasons for the Reivers. Originally from Bennett, Colo., Harrison was a two-year varsity starter and two-time first team all-conference selection at Bennett High School.
Sydney Johnson – Forward – White Bear Lake, Minn. – Minnesota State
After three seasons at NSIC foe Minnesota State, Sydney Johnson comes to St. Cloud State for her senior campaign. In three seasons with the Mavericks, Johnson played in 24 games and helped MSU win the 2025 NSIC Tournament championship and reach the 2024 NCAA Division II National Championship game. In her prep career, Johnson played three seasons with the White Bear Lake Bears where she recorded nine goals and six assists for 24 points. As a senior, she was named team captain and garnished the East Suburban All-Conference honors as she led her team to a 13-4-0 overall record.
Taavi Saeger – Midfielder – Cleveland, Wis. – Kiel High School – Lakeshore United FC
Taavi Saeger joins Huskies Soccer from Kiel High School in Cleveland, Wis., where she helped her team capture the 2023 state championship before finishing runner-up in her senior campaign in 2026. Saeger was a three-time captain, three-time first team all-conference honoree and was named the 2026 Eastern Wisconsin Conference Player of the Year and the 2026 Lakeside Elite Player of the Year. At the club level, Saeger played for Lakeshore United FC.
Kelly Sprauge – Defender – Edina, Minn. – Edina High School – Minnesota Thunder ECNL
Hailing from Edina High School, Kelly Sprauge heads north to join the Huskies for her collegiate career. Sprague helped the Hornets capture the Minnesota State Championship in 2023 and a runner-up finish in 2024. She was named a first year team MVP, was named co-captain as a senior and earned all-conference honors in 2025. At the club level, she played for Minnesota Thunder ECNL.
Mariah Tita – Midfielder – Shakopee, Minn. – Shakopee High School – Twin Stars Academy
Midfielder Mariah Tita played three seasons of varsity soccer at Shakopee High School before deciding to join the Huskies. At the club level, she played for Twin Stars Academy where she helped her team advance to the USYS National Championship.
Natalie Zimlich – Defender – Oakdale, Minn. – Tartan High School – Iowa Central Community College – Salvo SC
Natalie Zimlich comes to St. Cloud State after two seasons at Iowa Central Community College. The defender played in 32 games over two seasons with the Tritons, was named a team captain in 2025 and earned all-tournament honors in 2024. In her prep career, Zimlich played for Tartan High School in Oakdale and for Salvo SC at the club level.
