Huskies to travel to Sioux Falls for Meet Against Augustana and Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, SD. – The St. Cloud State Swimming & Diving team is set to compete against Augustana and Sioux Falls on Thursday September 28^th. The team will travel to Sioux Falls, SD to compete. The women will be competing in a tri meet, against both Augustana and Sioux Falls. While the men will only be competing in a dual, against Augustana. For both meets, diving will begin at 2:00 PM CT, with swimming slated to begin at 4:00 PM CT.

The Huskies had a stellar season last year. The women's team placed second at the NSIC Championships and the men's team placed third at the GLIAC Championships. The team also sent seven athletes to the NCAA Championships. The Huskies that attended earned All-American status during NCAA's including, Raf Hendriks, Abe Townley, Mason Beck, Emile Dost, Jayden Porter, Meredith Matchinsky. During the season, the Huskies also took down multiple team records.

Abe Townley lowered his own record in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 19.34, while also capturing the 100-yard freestyle record with a time of 44.28
Raf Hendriks improved two of his own records. Lowering both the 200-yard freestyle, 1:36.85, and 200-yard backstroke, 1:43.38, records
Jayden Porter earned the team record in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 54.07
Emile Dost broke both the 200-yard IM, 1:47.38, and 400-yard IM, 3:56.46, team records
Meredith Bangs took down the 200-yard IM record with a time of 2:05.72
The team of Townley, TJ Van Stein, Dost, and Beck lowered the 200-yard freestyle relay record to 1:19.16
The relay team of Townley, Hendriks, Beck, and Dost earned the 400-yard freestyle relay record with a time of 2:58.12
Hendriks, Porter, Townley, Beck captured the 200-yard Medley Relay record with a time of 1:26.74
The team of Hendriks, Porter, Dost, and Beck broke the 400-yard Medley relay record with a time of 3:13. 16.
