Captain Taylor Lind (Shaunavon, Saskatchewan) would be the lone goal scorer for the Huskies. Lind's goal came just under the 10-minute mark of the first period. The Huskies held on to the lead until 15:43 of the second period when the Tommies scored their first goal.
TURNING POINT
At the 8:30 mark of the final frame, St. Thomas scored their second goal, and it was all Tommies from there. The team added three empty net goals to round out scoring and leave the final score at 5-1.
Each team would only take one penalty each. The Tommies held the Huskies to one shot on goal on their powerplay attempt while the Huskies held St. Thomas shotless on theirs.
