Huskies get first half goal from Primerano, fall 2-1 in overtime
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (11-3-5, 8-1-5 NSIC) fell to UMary (11-4-3, 8-3-3 NSIC), 2-1, in overtime of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Quarterfinals on Monday at Husky Stadium. The Huskies surrendered a goal in the game's first two minutes, but then kept the Maurauders off the scoreboard for the rest of regulation before letting in a goal in the first minute of overtime.
TURNING POINT
Junior forward Ellie Primerano (St. Joseph, Mich.) scored an equalizer in the 38th minute to make the score 1-1, setting up a back-and-forth battle in the second half. Both team's had stretches where it pushed for the go-ahead goal but couldn't find the back of the net. Then, just under two minutes into the overtime session, UMary's Olivia Gardner scored to win the game and send UMary to the NSIC semifinals.

SCSU will now await its NCAA fate at the NCAA Division-II Women's Soccer selection show, slated to take place on Monday, Nov. 18 on NCAA.com at 5:30 p.m. CT.
