TOP HUSKIES
"I was very happy with our defensive effort tonight – to have a weekend where you hold opponents to a negative hitting percentage in two matches is very impressive. The combination of our block and back row defense has been really solid lately. Offensively, I thought we did a great job of setting a bunch of different attackers. We had a great diversity with our attack, and we definitely won the serving pass game tonight, as we were in system most of the night and our setters could set any attacker they wanted most of the night. Emilie Planert was solid offensively and Hannah Bruskiewicz was extremely efficient offensively. It was a very special weekend as we clinched a first-round home playoff match for the NSIC tourney."
NOTABLES
The Huskies play their final two road regular season matches next weekend. SCSU visits the Taylor Center in Mankato to play Minnesota State (15-6, 7-6 NSIC) on Friday at 6 p.m. and wraps up the weekend at the Gangelhoff Center in St. Paul to play No. 9 Concordia-St. Paul (18-4, 13-1 NSIC) at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
