No. 8 St. Cloud State Volleyball Readies for Busy Week

Huskies host three matches this week, look to continue five match winning streak
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – No. 8 St. Cloud State Volleyball (9-2, 4-0 NSIC) is set to host a trio of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opponents this week. SCSU welcomes No. 15 Minnesota Duluth (8-2, 1-2 NSIC), Sioux Falls (8-4, 3-1 NSIC) and No. 4 Southwest Minnesota State (13-0, 4-0 NSIC) to St. Cloud and Halenbeck Hall. The Huskies play UMD on Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT in a nonconference tilt. Then SCSU will play USF on Friday at 6 p.m. CT and SMSU on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT in conference matches.

SCSU moved back into the top 10 (No. 8) in this week's AVCA Poll after going 2-0 last week, sweeping No. 9 Concordia-St. Paul at home and Bemidji State on the road.
Under the direction of head coach Chad Braegelmann, the program has been ranked for 59 consecutive weeks (including 35 weeks in the top 10), dating back to the 2019 season. The Huskies have spent a total of 133 weeks in the AVCA top 20/25 Poll in program history, including 60 weeks in the top 10.
SERIES HISTORY
St. Cloud State Volleyball is 43-82 all-time against Minnesota Duluth. SCSU is 3-7 in the last 10 matchups and have dropped the last three against the Bulldogs including a 3-1 result in the lone matchup last year in St. Cloud.
The Huskies are 8-6 all-time against Sioux Falls. SCSU has won five matches in a row and are 7-3 in the last 10.
SCSU owns a 26-28 all-time record against Southwest Minnesota State. The Mustangs won the only matchup of 2023, but the Huskies are 6-4 in their last 10 against SMSU.
HOME SWEET HALENBECK
SCSU Volleyball has enjoyed tremendous success in the friendly confines of Halenbeck Hall, going 46-7 (.868) in its last 53 home matches.
NSIC WEEKLY AWARDS
Fifth year outside hitter Kenzie Foley (Sergeant Bluff, Iowa) was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week for two second consecutive weeks to start the season (Sept. 9, 2024, and Sept. 16, 2024). It was the eighth and ninth time Foley had been honored in her career.
