ST. CLOUD, Minn. – No. 11 St. Cloud State Volleyball (17-5, 12-2 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) took down Jamestown (9-12, 4-10 NSIC) in straight sets on Saturday afternoon at Halenbeck Hall in St. Cloud. The Huskies earned the sweep 25-21, 25-14, 25-15.
TOP HUSKIES
"It was a very solid serving performance from the Huskies. To average four aces per set at this level is extremely impressive. Our distribution on offense was also a key to our success. We were very efficient and did a better job of limiting our errors today, so that definitely helped. We will need to continue to work on attacking around the blockers hands and hitting a little bit higher. Defensively, I thought we could've dug a few more balls, but Jamestown put a lot of pressure on us and only committed four attack errors in the entire match. Overall, it was a complete match for the Huskies."
NOTABLES
The Huskies hit the road for a pair of matches in North Dakota next weekend. SCSU travels to play UMary (6-16, 3-11 NSIC) at 6 p.m. on Friday at the McDowell Activity Center in Bismarck and Minot State (3-20, 1-13 NSIC) at noon on Saturday at the Minot State Dome in Minot.
