Huskies pick up sixth straight victory
MINOT, N.D. – No. 11 St. Cloud State Volleyball (19-5, 14-2 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) took down Minot State (3-22, 1-15 NSIC) in straight sets at the Minot State Dome on Saturday afternoon to close the team's trip to North Dakota. The Huskies took the match, 25-10, 25-22, 25-17.
TOP HUSKIES
"Another solid offensive performance for us today, as we had eight players with two or more kills. We have 15 women see playing time again today, and through all the different lineups that we put out there, we still performed very well offensively and defensively. Our serving and passing were not quite as consistent as they have been, but we were able to do enough to overcome that. Any time you can play two matches on a weekend, go 2-0, and hold your opponents to below .100 hitting percentage in both matches, that's definitely a win."
NOTABLES
The Huskies play No. 9 Concordia-St. Paul (19-4, 15-1 NSIC) in a road nonconference tilt on Tuesday before returning to Halenbeck Hall on Friday and Saturday to close out their regular season home schedule against No. 21 Minnesota Duluth (17-5, 10-5 NSIC) and Bemidji State (7-17, 4-12 NSIC).
