
St. Cloud State Wrestling Head Coach Steve Costanzo Named to Jim Koch Division II Wrestling Hall of Fame

Costanzo becomes first Husky inducted into Jim Koch HOF
Manheim, PA.- St. Cloud State Wrestling Head Coach Steve Costanzo has been inducted into the Jim Koch Division II Wrestling Hall of Fame as announced by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Friday morning. Costanzo is in his 19th season with the Huskies and has guided them to five National Championships.
During his time with the Huskies (2006-present), Costanzo has been a staple of success while molding the program into a national powerhouse. Under his prowess, St. Cloud State has won five National Championships with a three-peat occurring between 2018-21. He has coached 131 National Qualifiers, 93 All-Americans, 23 National Runner-Ups, and Seven National Champions. Holding an all-time record of 283-31 with a 123-11 conference record, Costanzo and the Huskies have won 12 NSIC Championships, 11 Super Region Championships, and eight NWCA National Duals Championships. The success of the program has ultimately led to a plethora of Coach of the Year honors for Costanzo. In his 18 seasons with St. Cloud State, he has been awarded with 17 Coach of the Year honors including National Coach of the Year (x3), Super Region Coach of the Year (x4), and NSIC Coach of the Year (x10). Success in the classroom has also been a staple for the Huskies during Costanzo's tenure as 159 wrestlers have earned NWCA All-Academic notice, 98 have been named to the conference All-Academic team and 10 have earned CoSIDA Academic All-American honors.
Costanzo along with Warren Crow, John Finch, TJ Hepburn, Dave Klemm, Raufeon Stots, Geno Savegnago, and Jim Woods will all be honored as the newest Hall of Fame members August 2, 2025, at the Sawgrass Marriott and Spa as a part of the 2025 NWCA Convention.
