St. Cloud State Wrestling Ranked No. 2 Ahead of NCAA Tournament

Jesuroga and Murphy sit atop their respective weight classes
Manheim, Pa.- St. Cloud State Wrestling (14-0, 9-0 NSIC) were ranked as the No. 2 team in the country in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association Poll (NWCA) ahead of the NCAA Tournament. The Huskies were ranked No. 1 for the entirety of the season prior to this poll. SCSU holds seven ranked wrestlers, which is the second most in the nation.
St. Cloud State accumulated 87 points to rank second in the country. Nebraska-Kearney tallied 92 points to rank first with 10 ranked wrestlers. Central Oklahoma (71 points, five wrestlers ranked), Grand Valley State (56, four), and Augustana (53, four) rounded out the top five.
After a third place finish at Super Region V, Conor Knopick moved up to No. 10 after being No. 12. Knopick is 17-5 with 11 bonus point wins.
Sam Spencer jumped to No. 6 at 133 after taking the title at Super Region V. Spencer is 24-4 with 12 bonus point wins.
At 149, Colby Njos is ranked No. 5 after a third place finish at Super Region V. Njos is 15-3 with seven bonus point wins.
Joel Jesuroga remained No. 1 at 157 after a title at Super Region V. Jesuroga is 23-0 with 12 bonus point wins.
After his fourth straight Super Region V Title, Nick Novak moved up to No. 4 at 165. Novak is 22-3 with 11 bonus point wins.
At 174, Bryce Dagel jumped to No. 3 after a Super Region V title. Dagel is 23-3 with 11 bonus point wins.
Dominic Murphy remained the No. 1 ranked wrestler at 197 after his third straight Super Region V Title. Murphy is 24-0 with 11 bonus point wins.
