Huskies remain perfect in Northern Sun play, earn seventh straight-set victory of 2025
JAMESTOWN, N.D. – No. 15 St. Cloud State Volleyball (9-3 overall, 4-0 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) remained undefeated in NSIC matches after taking down Jamestown in straight sets on Friday night at Harold Newman Arena in Jamestown. The Huskies swept UJ (25-21, 25-23, 25-23) in the teams' first matchup since 1988.
TOP HUSKIES
"It was a fun match tonight for the Huskies in a new gymnasium for us. Jamestown has a history of success at the national level in the NAIA, so we know that they can compete and play at a very high level. Tonight, I was very impressed with their serving and passing – they put pressure on us from the service line, and I thought they did a really good job of passing even our tough serves. Overall, I was very proud of our offensive performance. Our hitters were able to contact all night and get on the ball fast. We did a really good job of getting them out of system with our attack and had more offensive fire power than they did tonight. Our blocking was solid at times, and we did just enough to win very close second and third sets to pull out the sweep."
