ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (4-0-2, 2-0-1 NSIC) scored twice in the first 24 minutes of the game and cruised to a 2-0 win over Jamestown (0-5-0, 0-3-0 NSIC) on Friday night at Husky Stadium in St. Cloud. The win pushes SCSU's unbeaten streak to six to start the 2025 campaign, extending its program-record best start to a season.
TURNING POINT
SCSU jumped out to a quick start, scoring in the fifth minute of the game on a corner kick from junior forward Linsey Trapino (Verona, Wis.). Trapino set in set piece to the middle of the box, which deflected off a defender and into the back of the net for the score. Senior forward Ellie Primerano (Saint Joseph, Mich.) then doubled the Huskies lead 18 minutes later on a beautiful finish from the top of the box. Trapino played the ball down the right sideline and made a pass to freshman forward McKenna Brenuig (Sauk City, Wis.), who worked her way into the box and found Primerano all alone 15 yards out from the net, who buried a shot with her right foot to the top right corner for the score.
