Drossel Captures 100 Breaststroke Title at NSIC Championships

Drossel wins 100 breaststroke, 200 freestyle relay team finishes second

WEST FARGO, N.D. – The St. Cloud State Women's Swim & Dive team had two all-conference performances and an individual conference champion on the third day of competition at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championships in West Fargo, N.D. With one day remaining, SCSU continues to sit in second place with 539.5 points, trailing only Minnesota State with 825.5 points.

Sophomore Hallie Drossel (Melrose, Minn.) captured the first individual conference championship for the Huskies in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing with an NCAA B-cut time of 1:03.06. The Huskies then continued its impressive showing in relay events, earning its fourth top-four finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of sophomore Emma Hoppman (Red Wing, Minn.), sophomore Carly Salzer (Oshkosh, Wis.), sophomore Brooklyn Ferguson (Millford, Iowa) and freshman Megan WIllenbring (Watkins, Minn) finished at 1:34.43 to earn all-conference honors.
