Before SCSU: A standout for Vacaville High School in Vacaville, Calif...claimed his first state medal at the 2015 CIF State Championships at 106-pounds...during his senior season, he claimed championships at the Monticello Empire League, Sac-Joaquin Section and Masters...Aquino had a senior year mark of a 51-5 record... claimed third place at the NHSCA Senior National Championships earning him All-American honors at 113-pounds...Aquino had a career high school record of 148-35, was the 12^th ranked wrestler in the country by Wrestling USA Magazine and the 6th ranked wrestler in the country by Win Magazine in 2015
