A Letter from Coach Steve Costanzo:
I hope you are getting ready for another exciting year of Huskies wrestling. As we enter into another season, please know that SCSU wrestling staff and wrestlers are committed more than ever to continue an already rich tradition of Huskies Wrestling.
However, this year, we have a challenge that impacts our wrestlers and the 2018 Region V wrestling tournament. We need to replace the two wrestling mats, which are currently in the wrestling room. These mats have served us well over the years but are now in need of replacement.  We have tears and cuts that we have continued to repair with tape, and the St. C on both mats has faded - our logo is unrecognizable. We need your help as the total cost for two mats is $30,000.
We are excited to report that we have a lead donor who will match your gift, up to $10,000, as long as your donation is received by November 17th. Also, we are using $10,000 of our SCSU Foundation funds to help with the costs. What’s remaining is $10,000 to raise amongst our alumni, fans and supporters of the wrestling program.Â
We are fortunate to have donors, like you, who support our efforts, and understand that advancing our program and inspiring future generations is an ongoing process. Your contribution today will help us continue to showcase everything that is great about Huskies wrestling through recruiting efforts, training and wrestling facilities.
Enclosed is a gift/pledge card, along with a return envelope. Please help us enhance our program and continue to grow our sport with your tax-deductible contribution.
On November 2nd, we will launch a fundraising page in which you can make an-online donation and see our progress to date. The site will also provide you the opportunity to list your name and contribution amount. Help spread the word!
