Tori Holt

Tori Holt is in his second season as an assistant coach with St. Cloud State Softball. The Huskies finished 34-20 in his first season with Coach Roberts that concluded the highest NSIC Tournament finish (third). Coach Holt has filled in as an interim Head Coach on two occasions, and the Huskies are 4-0 in those contests.
Holt is currently a full-time employee of S&C Sports Services and head coach with the Midwest Speed National program, one of the premier club programs in the Midwest. They have qualified for the Alliance National Tournament in all four of his seasons, going 141-88-3 at the national level.
Previously, Holt was the player development director of the MN ICE in Lakeville and the head coach of the junior varsity as well as a varsity assistant at Lakeville North. The Panthers varsity squad captured their second ever Section 1AAA Championship, advancing to the state tournament for only the second time in history. In his last season, he helped St. Croix Prep to their best record in school history as an assistant coach.
Holt grew up in Burnsville, playing baseball and football at Apple Valley before graduating in 1993. He attended St. Cloud State University from 1996-2000, majoring in Mass Communications. Tori worked in the NHL with the Dallas Stars as a pre and post-game show host as well as the Colorado Avalanche with Altitude Sports and Entertainment. Since 2010, he has been one of the main voices of the MSHSL State Tournament Broadcasts on 45TV in the Twin Cities. Holt has done play-by-play and sideline reporting for the MSHSL State Boys & Girls Hockey and Basketball Tournaments in addition to the Prep Bowl. He was also the play-by-play broadcaster on Fox Sports for the University of Denver Hockey and Mountain West Football conference.
He finished his collegiate baseball career as a pitcher in 2017 as the oldest collegiate player in the country, 42, at the University of Northwestern in St. Paul. He also coached varsity football (2011-14) and baseball (2010-14) at Apple Valley, varsity baseball at Hill Murray (2015) and had a three-year stint with the University of Northwestern – St. Paul (2015-17) as the Quarterbacks Coach.
Holt is entering his ninth season as the Lakeville Lobos (35+ amateur team) General Manager. In the previous eight seasons, the Lobos have compiled a record of 159 - 40, including the 2020 MSMABA/Federal League State Championship. The Lobos have captured two state titles (2016 & 2020) and have 4 state championship game appearances in his eight seasons. He was inducted into the Federal League Hall of Fame in 2023.
Tori lives in Lakeville with his wife Angela and their four children Kristen, Jake, Morgan and Tyler along with the family husky, Brett.
