Bio
2021: Friis had an excellent final season with the Huskies. She was named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, received the NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award Honors, and was named to the 2021 NSIC All-Conference Honors Second Team. She started and played in all 18 games for SCSU. She closed her collegiate career with 13 points, five goals, two goals against Upper Iowa (Sept. 26), three assists, 62 shots, and 35 shots on goal. She was named NSIC Offensive Player of Week on Sept. 27 after scoring two goals and one assist for a win over Upper Iowa and Winona State. She closes her career with 29 points (10g/9a), which ranks 16th in program history.
2020: The 2020 fall season was cancelled due to COVID-19.
2019: Named to Academic All-NSIC team in 2019...played in 20 games with four goals, four assists, 12 points and 31 shots in 2019...posted two goals and the GWG vs. Minnesota State Moorhead on Nov. 6, 2019...also tallied two assists in SCSU's win over Northern State on Oct. 13, 2019...2019 NSIC Academic Excellence Award recipient.
2018: Played in 17 games during 2018...scored one goal and two assists...had 15 shots and eight shots on goal during the season...scored first career goal in a 2-1 win at Wayne State on Sept. 28...also had assists against Northern State (Oct. 7) and Concordia-St. Paul (Sept. 21)...earned Academic All-NSIC honors as a sophomore.
2017: In her first year at SCSU, Friis played in one game for the Huskies.
Before SCSU: A 2017 graduate of Appleton North H.S., where she played for coach John Wuebben...played four years of varsity soccer in high school...earned First Team All-Conference and All-Conference Honorable Mention notice during prep career...played two years of basketball at Appleton North...member of North Shore United/Appleton soccer club....helped club team win 2016 state title.
