Abby Rittenhouse joined the St. Cloud State Athletics Department in September 2022 as the Assistant Athletics Director of Compliance and Student Services and was promoted to Associate Athletics Director of Compliance and Administration in August 2025.

In her expanded role, Rittenhouse provides personnel oversight and supervises the Huskies Academic Center (HAC) while continuing to ensure the SCSU Athletics Department is compliant with the NCAA, its conference membership organizations, as well as institutional and federal rules and regulations. She also oversees the Huskies' student services area, including an emphasis in academic advising in addition to being a sport administrator for select programs.

Prior to joining the athletics department in September 2022, Rittenhouse, formerly Rasmussen, worked in the Dual Enrollment Office as an Admissions Counselor from July 2020 to April 2022 and the Associate Director from April 2022 to September 2022. As an admissions counselor, Rittenhouse promoted a positive student experience through recruitment and engagement activities, facilitated academic advising appointments for new and returning students and communicated and worked effectively with external concurrent enrollment stakeholders and partners. After being promoted to Associate Director, she recommended and executed standard operating procedures to lead the daily operations while supervising counselors, graduate assistants and student workers.

Since 2017, Rittenhouse has been a volunteer assistant coach for the Huskies Swim & Dive program, where she has assisted in coaching, recruiting and academic monitoring of the program. While on staff, the Huskies have won two conference championships, as the women won Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference championships in 2019 and 2020.

From 2018-20, Rittenhouse was an Academic Advisor Graduate Assistant for the Herberger Business School at SCSU where she provided academic services for undergraduate students majoring in business. Prior to her time at SCSU, Rittenhouse spent three years as an Executive Team Leader at various Target locations.

Originally from Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, Rittenhouse is a two-time graduate of St. Cloud State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in management in 2015 and a Master of Business Administration in 2020. As a member of the Huskies Swim & Dive program, she was a two-time captain and 10-time All-American, earning top national finishes in the 100 breaststroke (2012-15), 200 medley relay (2013-15) and 400 medley relay (2013-15).

Rittenhouse and her husband, Dustin, reside in St. Cloud with their two children Callahan and Finnegan, along with their goldendoodle Benji.
