St. Cloud State Falls 4-2 at UNH on Oct. 13

The St. Cloud State University men's hockey team ended its weekend trip to New England with a 4-2 setback against host New Hampshire on Oct. 13, in Durham, N.H.
The loss moves SCSU's record on the young season to 0-2-0, 0-0-0 WCHA, while New Hampshire moves to 2-0-0, 0-0-0 HE on the year. The Huskies will continue their season on Oct. 19-20 with a pair of home dates against Alabama Huntsville at the NHEC.

At UNH, the host Wildcats jumped to an early 1-0 lead with a goal by John Henrion at 6:21 of the first period.
SCSU knotted the game at 1-1 with a marker by junior defender Kevin Gravel at 10:59 of the first with assists from Nic Dowd and Jimmy Murray. This was Dowd's third assist of the year and Murray's first career point for the Huskies.
In the second period, UNH regained the lead at 7:13 with a goal by Nick Sorkin, which made it 2-1. Sophomore forward Joey Holka tied the game once again at 11:59 with his first goal of the season. Murray and Gravel charted the assists on the play for the Huskies.
The Wildcats coined the game winner at 18:51 of the second period with a power play goal by Austin Block. UNH iced the game at 5:22 of the third with the final goal by Trevor Van Riemsdyk.
In the nets, SCSU's Ryan Faragher posted 25 saves while UNH's Casey DeSmith also had 25 saves and the win. UNH outshot the Huskies 29-27 in the game. On the power play, SCSU was 0-of-5 and UNH was 1-of-4.
