SCSU Swimming and Diving Travel to Carleton College

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State men's and women's swimming and diving teams will travel to Northfield, Minn. on Saturday, Nov. 3. The Carleton Invite will be co-hosted with St. Olaf College. The Invite will begin at 11 a.m. Swimming will be taking place at St. Olaf while diving will be held at Carleton College.

Last season, St. Cloud State did not participate in the Carleton Invite.
St. Cloud State is coming off a victory at the SCSU double dual invite against UW-Eau Clair and UW-Stevens Point (Oct. 27).
The St. Cloud State men won the double dual beating UW-Stevens Point 161 to 130 and trumping UW-Eau Claire 190 to 101.
The St. Cloud State women won the double dual as they were victorious over UW-Stevens Point 161 to 127 and beat UW-Eau Claire 177 to 111.
St. Cloud State finished the Oct. 27 Invite winning 22 total events. Both the men's and women's Huskies swam exhibition the final six events.
Kellyn Craig (Denver, Colo.) finished with three first place finishes. Craig won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.53. She took home first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.92 and won the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:25.51.
Craig was named NSIC Swimmer of the week on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Bob Simson (St. Cloud) and Napoleon Howell (St. Augustine, Trinidad) each had three first place finishes at the Oct. 27 Invite.
Simson was a member of the first place 200 yard medley relay squad. He also won the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 54.23 and the 200 yard backstroke in 1:59.39.
Howell was a member of the first place 200 yard medley relay squad. Howell also placed first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time 58.12 and won the 200 yard breastroke in 2:08.55.

St. Cloud State will return to action on Nov. 16 and 17 as they travel to Green Bay, Wis. to compete against the University of Wisonsin- Green Bay. Action is set to start Friday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m.
