Men's Basketball Sweeps on the Road, Defeats U-Mary 68-51

Bismarck, N.D. -- The St. Cloud State University men's basketball squad completed their weekend on the road this evening with a 68-51 victory over the University of Mary. The Huskies jumped out to a quick 18-2 lead over the Marauders and never looked back.
St. Cloud State improved to 15-3 overall, 11-3 in conference play. With the win, the Huskies remain on top of the NSIC North division tied with Northern State.
Senior standouts Shaun Jensen (Spring Lake Park) and Theo Rothstein (St. Michael) led the Huskies, combining for 38 points on the night.
Rothstein led all players with 20 points. He also added two assists and two blocked shots. Rothstein has scored in double figures in all but one game this season, averaging 16.9 points per game.
Jensen played 36 minutes in tonight's contest. He finished with 18 points, 5 assists, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and just one turnover. He now has total 306 career assists.
Connor Neihaus (Fremont, Neb.) grabbed 11 rebounds, helping the Huskies outrebound the Marauders 36-34.
The Huskies will return to action next weekend as they hit the road to compete against Wayne State and Augustana College for the first time this season.
Wayne State currently holds a 12-8 overall record, 6-8 in the NSIC. Augustana is 14-4 this season, with a 10-4 conference mark. The Vikings defeated Minnesota State this evening to extend their win streak to four.
