
Volleyball to Host Winona State and Upper Iowa

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State University volleyball team is set to host a pair of NSIC matches this weekend, Oct. 4 and 5. The Huskies will welcome the Winona State Warriors to Halenbeck Hall this Friday with the first serve to commence at 7 p.m. On Saturday the Huskies will take on the Peacocks of Upper Iowa University at 4 p.m.

St. Cloud State Notes
- The Huskies enter the weekend with an 8-5 overall record, 2-3 in the NSIC. They sit at 9th place in the NSIC and are coming off three tough losses to Minnesota Duluth, Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul.
- Ellie Dietzen (Black Creek, Wis.) leads the Huskies with a .364 hitting percentage. She is ranked 6th overall in the NSIC in this category and 39th overall in the nation.
- Allison Butler (Burnsville) is ranked 4th in the NSIC in aces per set. Butler has recorded 19 this season, averaging .4/set.
- Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson) is ranked 5th in the conference in digs per set. Stamer is averaging 4.31 per set and has collected 207 this season.
Winona State Notes
- The Warriors enter the weekend with a 5-9 overall record, 2-3 in the NSIC. They are coming off two, three-set victories over Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston.
- Bekah Saugen leads the offensive attack for Winona State. Saugen has posted 152 kills, averaging 2.87 per set.
- In the all-time series records, St. Cloud State leads the Warriors 36-14 dating back to 1969.
Upper Iowa Notes
- The Peacocks enter the weekend with a 6-8 overall mark, 2-3 in the NSIC. Upper Iowa is coming off a five-set victory over Minnesota Crookston and a five-set loss to Bemidji State.
- Jennifer Mundt led the attack for Upper Iowa this past week as she recorded 53 kills (3.53/set) while hitting .309.
- Hailey Brown quarterbacked the Peacock hitters with 135 assists (9.0/set).
- In the all-time series records, St. Cloud State leads the Peacocks 8-6 dating back to 2004.
