
Volleyball to Host Northern State and MSU Moorhead in Breast Cancer Awareness/Alumni Weekend

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State University volleyball team will be hosting Northern State University on Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall. The Huskies will then take on Minnesota State University Moorhead on Saturday at 4 p.m. This weekend will serve as both Alumni and Breast Cancer Awareness weekend.Â

St. Cloud State Game Notes
- St. Cloud State enters the weekend match-ups with a 12-5 overall record, 6-3 in the NSIC. The Huskies are in third place in the conference standings.Â
- Fans can enter in to win a diamond necklace from Riddle's Jewelry on Friday. The diamond will be given away during Saturday's match.Â
- Fans, please wear PINK this weekend to support Breast Cancer Awareness.Â
- The Huskies are on a four-match winning streak. Senior Ellie Dietzen leads St. Cloud State in total kills with 179, averaging 2.89 per set this season. She holds a .356 attack percentage, putting her in 8th place in the highly competitive NSIC
Northern State Game Notes
- Northern State enters the weekend holding a 13-3 overall record and are 6-3 in the NSIC. The Wolves are tied with the Huskies for third place in conference action.Â
- The Wolves are currently on a three-match winning streak. They swept both Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston in straight sets last weekend.
- Kelsey Chambers leads Northern State with 229 kills this season. She is averaging 4.16 per set and hitting a .310 attack percentage.Â
MSU Moorhead Game Notes
- MSU Moorhead enters the weekend with an 11-6 overall record. The Dragons are currently 4-5 in NSIC play.Â
- The dragons are coming off a five-set loss to Minnesota Crookston and a three-set victory over Bemidji State last weekend.
- Kailtin VanWinkle leads the Dragons with 196 kills. She is hitting .360, which is tied for sixth-best in the NSIC.
