Volleyball to Host Minnesota Duluth Tuesday, Oct. 22

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State University volleyball team has a quick turnaround after coming off two tough losses this past weekend to Northern State University and MSU Moorhead. The Huskies will resume action already tomorrow evening as they host the No. 2 ranked Bulldogs of Minnesota Duluth at 7 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall.Â
Tuesday night will serve as Faculty Appreciation Night for St. Cloud State volleyball. All St. Cloud State faculty members will be admitted to the game free of charge, as well as a guest of their choice.Â

- St. Cloud State enters the match-up with a 12-7 overall record and a 6-5 mark in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). SCSU is now tied for fifth place in the NSIC.
- The Huskies are coming off of a 0-3 loss to Northern State and a 1-3 loss to MSU Moorhead. Junior setter Erin Ohlemann (Black Creek, Wis.) posted back-to-back double-doubles over the weekend as she dished out 27 assists and collected 10 digs against Northern State and dug her way into her second double-double on Saturday as she finished with 45 assists and 17 digs against MSU Moorhead.Â
- The Huskies met Minnesota Duluth earlier this season on Sept. 24 when they fell 0-3 in Duluth, Minn.Â
- St. Cloud State already has the most wins this season since the 2010 season when the Huskies finished 14-14 overall. The last winning season was in 2004 when SCSU went 19-12 overall.Â

- The University of Minnesota Duluth enters the match-up with a 19-2 overall record and a 9-2 stance in the NSIC (ranked third in the NSIC).
- The No. 2 ranked Bulldogs are coming off of an unexpected 1-3 loss on their home court to Northern State University.
- UMD's power hitter Kate Lange leads the Bulldogs and the NSIC statistically with 379 kills this season, averaging 5.34 per set.Â
- Defensive standout Julie Rainey ranks second in the NSIC in digs this season as she has collected 369, averaging 5.2 per set.
