Husky Football Announces 2013 Recruiting Class

St. Cloud, Minn. -- St. Cloud State University head football coach Scott Underwood and his staff announced today that 28 high school seniors have committed to the Husky football program and will enroll at the university in the fall.

The 2013 recruiting class has representation from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinios, South Dakota and California. Three athletes are from central Minnesota including Trevor Waldorf of Sauk Rapids, Kyle Schramel of Cold Spring and McKinley Anderson of Hutchinson.
“We are ecstatic about this tremendous group of student athletes (3.0 grade point average and 22 ACT average) that will be joining our program,” said Underwood. “We set out to address some positional needs and feel we were very successful in accomplishing that goal. Our coaches have done an exemplary job of identifying the players and the talent that fit into our offensive and defensive schemes, and we look forward to the future with this exceptional group.”
The Huskies posted a fifth straight winning season in 2012 with a 7-4 overall record and finished 5-2 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) North Division, good for third place.
