SCSU Soccer Ties Sioux Falls in Double Overtime

Sioux Falls, S.D. - St. Cloud State women's soccer rounded out their first NSIC road trip as they traveled to Sioux Falls Sunday to take on the USF Cougars. It was a battle of defenses as the Huskies and the Cougars tied 0-0 in double overtime.
The Cougars outshot the Huskies in the game by a margin of 19 to 16 with SCSU putting eight on goal and USF having six on goal.
Leading the Huskies in shots against the Cougars was sophomore Gabby Fleck as she put up four shots, including three on goal. She was followed by senior Kara Dahmen with two shots, both of which were on goal.
Brittany Plombon was in the net for the Huskies recording a total six saves in the game, while the Cougars' Corrin Cook tallied eight saves. With the tie Plombon moves her record to 3-4-1 on the season.
The Huskies (3-4-1, 0-4-1 NSIC) will be back in action on October 4th & 6th as they play host to Augustana College (S.D.) and Wayne State College respectively. Friday's game is set to start at 3 p.m. and Sunday's game is slated for a 1 p.m. game time in the comforts of Husky Stadium.
