SCSU Volleyball Falls to #2 Minnesota Duluth

Duluth, Minn. – The St. Cloud State volleyball traveled to Duluth, Minn. this evening to take on #2 Minnesota Duluth. The Huskies fell to the Bulldogs in three straight sets with final scores of 20-25, 13-25 and 12-25.
The Huskies were not able to withstand the Bulldogs offense as they hit .207 in the second set and .640 in the third set. The Bulldogs recorded a total of 40 kills compared to the Huskies 20.
St. Cloud State falls to 7-17 overall and 1-15 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
Kaitlin Doughty (Tomahawk, Wis.) recorded a team-high 8 kills. Kellan Flynn (Tomahawk, Wis.) tallied a total of four blocks and four kills.
Erin Ohlemann (Golden Valley, Minn.) dished out 12 assists on the night.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) posted 10 digs.
Maddy Siroin led the Bulldogs offensively with 12 kills, 4 service aces and 2 blocks.
Minnesota Duluth improves to 23-1 and 16-0 in the NSIC.
The Huskies will return to action this weekend as they take on Augustana College on Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. and Wayne State on Nov. 1 at 4 p.m.
